The Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator is an internationally recognized, non-dilutive source of support for startups in the global blockchain ecosystem and now leads our 3rd pillar on community & entrepreneurship for Berkeley’s multi-disciplinary, campus-wide initiative on web3 and decentralization — Berkeley Center for Responsible, Decentralized Intelligence (RDI).
Also, UC Berkeley has been ranked the #1 university for blockchain in the US for a second year in a row!

And so ends another successful year of BBX programming!
We had a very successful demo day at the end of August following the Future of Decentralization, AI, and Computing Summit hosted by Berkeley RDI. the RDI summit was viewed by over 6,000 people.

Cohort 7 Application Now Open
The Xcelerator is also excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for our 7th cohort. Application will be accepted until October 16th, 2023. The cohort is set to kick off in November of this year and will run until Demo Day in April of 2024.
We accept applications from all around the globe, associated with any protocol, industry vertical, and team background and location. We target teams from preseed to series A and aspire to promote diversity in all of its forms within the decentralized ecosystem.
